A note to our parents and community members: due to some unfortunate circumstances this past week, we have been functioning with no 7-12 math teacher in place. After much consideration and with our students' educations in mind, we have decided to use our capable staff currently in place to fill the void in our math department. We are pleased that the staff is flexible and very willing to assist us in this change, and we anticipate the transition to run smoothly from here on out.  With that being said, class offerings and scheduling have been adjusted in order to facilitate this change. There will be students whose schedules will have to change a bit, and a few students who will not have the option of a certain elective they had prior to this change occurring. We are in the process of identifying those needs and making changes in order for our students to continue to have a full and productive daily schedule.

The staff and students have been made aware of the general changes today (Friday). We will continue to work on this over the weekend, and then hold a quick 7-12 student/staff meeting Monday morning to go over changes that will affect students. We will also be contacting those parents who have students whose class choices have been affected, either today or Monday, so these parents are aware of the options available for their student(s). 

We truly appreciate your understanding, and also ask for a little time to "work out the kinks." We know how critical it is to make the necessary changes in order for our students to continue to have the opportunity to receive quality instruction. We are confident that with everyone's patience, understanding, and flexibility, our staff will continue to do so!

Richland County Spelling Bee is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012. Registration will begin at 9:00a with the Classroom Bees starting at 9:30a. The County Bee will begin at 11:00a with registration beginning at 10:30a, any student in grades 5-8 may participate.

Life Touch Pictures will be Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 8:00a starting with preschool aged kids. If you have further questions, please feel free to contact Jill at the school, ext. 101.
